- Provide leadership, direction and guidance to the organisation
- Provide regular briefings on work goals, plans and operational issues to work groups to minimise role ambiguity and maximise effectiveness

- Arrange appropriate training and provide to meet individual and organisation needs
- Encourage staff to be involved in professional development and support staff to attend training courses and to take up other development opportunities
